Jakarta. MCNN – Kepala Dinas Penerangan TNI AD, Brigjen TNI Nefra Firdaus membenarkan telah terjadi kecelakaan, Helikopter MI-17 milik pihaknya, dengan nomor registrasi HA 5141 yang jatuh di Kendal, Jawa Tengah, Sabtu(6/6/2020),
Helikopter tersebut sedang melaksanakan misi latihan terbang di Pusat Pendidikan Penerbang AD, Semarang, Jawa Tengah, sebagai bagian dari program Pendidikan Calon Perwira Penerbang 1.
Helikopter dinyatakan dalam kondisi baik sebelum terbang, karena saat dilaksanakan Pre-flight Check tidak ditemukan hal-hal menonjol. Selain itu, misi latihan terbang endurance pertama (sebelum misi ke-2) juga berjalan dengan aman.
” Sekitar jam 12.35 siang tadi, Helikopter ini melaksanakan misi latihan terbang endurance kedua dengan materi terbang Tactical Manuver. Dan sekitar jam 13.40 siang tadi, Helikopter MI-17 ini jatuh di Kaliwungu, Kec. Kendal, Jawa Tengah,” kata Brigjen TNI Nefra Firdaus dalam keterangan tertulisnya.
Lebih lanjut Brigjen TNI Nefra Firdaus menjelaskan, Setelah jatuh Helikopter MI-17 ini terbakar dan menyebabkan 4 orang crew meninggal dunia, sementara 5 lain-nya luka-luka. Korban luka-luka saat ini sudah eievakuasi ke Rumah Sakit terdekat. Penyebab jatuh-nya Helikopter MI-17 TNI AD masih dalam proses investigasi,” jelasnya.
Selain itu Brigjen TNI Nefra Firdaus memaparkan Korban jatuh-nya Helikopter MI-17 TNI AD adalah sebagai berikut

3. Kapten Cpn Y Hendro (MD)
4. Lettu Cpn Wisnu (MD)
5. Lettu Cpn Vira Yudha
